As a product designer and experienced teacher with a wide range of business and product knowledge, my passion lies in constant evolution alongside technology and culture. Throughout my career, I’ve learned from both colleagues and students, deeply valuing every growth opportunity that comes my way.

I find passion in discovering the perfect space for users to access businesses that are accessible, sustainable, and prioritize their well-being. With each project, I challenge myself and continue learning.

The Future of Tourism: A Visionary Approach

Project Overview: “The Future of Tourism” is an international association with a global reach, uniting all stakeholders in the tourism industry. Our singular objective is to collaboratively build the tourism of tomorrow. We work closely with members from the public sector, private organizations, academia, and international bodies. Our vision is innovative, circular, and inclusive, promoting sustainable development and social inclusion through tourism.

Design Thinking and Iterations

  1. Empathize: Research Your Users’ Needs

    • In the initial phase, we deeply empathized with the real people using our product. We engaged in user-centric research, seeking to understand their challenges, experiences, and motivations.

    • We conducted observations, consulted experts, and immersed ourselves in users’ physical environments. This allowed us to gain insights into their needs and pain points.

  2. Define: State Users’ Needs and Problems

    • Armed with empathy, we defined the core problem we needed to solve. We reframed it from a human-centric perspective.

    • Our team collaborated with the Board of Directors (BO) and other stakeholders to align on the project’s purpose. We clarified the brand’s identity, mission, and values.

  3. Ideate: Challenge Assumptions and Create Ideas

    • Ideation sessions were critical. We challenged assumptions, encouraged creativity, and generated a multitude of ideas.

    • The BO, team members, and external partners participated actively. We explored innovative concepts related to branding, services, and user experiences.

  4. Prototype: Start Creating Solutions

    • Prototyping allowed us to visualize our ideas. We rapidly iterated through high-fidelity prototypes, mid-fidelity wireframes, and low-fidelity sketches.

    • We tested these prototypes with real users, gathering feedback to refine our solutions. The iterative process ensured continuous improvement.

  5. Test: Try Your Solutions Out

    • Rigorous testing validated our hypotheses. We assessed the effectiveness of our brand names, objectives, and service offerings.

    • User feedback guided further iterations. We fine-tuned our approach, ensuring alignment with our vision and user needs.

Achievements and Benefits

  • User-Centric Approach: Design thinking empowered us to keep users at the center of our decision-making process.

  • Iterative Refinement: We embraced continuous improvement, adapting our solutions based on real-world feedback.

  • Global Impact: As a result, “The Future of Tourism” contributes to sustainable development and social inclusion worldwide.

Remember, design thinking is not a linear process; it’s about flexibility, adaptability, and learning from each iteration1. By co-creating with the BO and the team, we’ve shaped a visionary project that paves the way for the tourism industry of tomorrow.
