Argentine Airlines App
Aerolíneas Argentinas is the flagship airline of the Argentine Republic, dedicated to commercial passenger and cargo transportation. It is the largest state-owned airline in Latin America.
The airline provides flight services through its web app platform, available on both desktop and mobile web versions. Additionally, customers can access the web app through local stores in airports or agencies.
In this case, we will analyze the web app, which was created to simplify the remote purchasing process.
"Should We Redesign This App?
This app has the potential to offer great benefits to its users, but its current structure and usability make it difficult to use and not very user-friendly due to its flaws.
We believe that improving the architecture and usability of the app could lead to increased personal and corporate sales in the local market. These improvements would enable users to receive updates on potential sales increases and travel reminders, save money, and build trust in the brand. Additionally, users could earn miles or points to redeem for benefits."
Why are we conducting this research?
We aim to effectively understand users' behaviors and identify the pain points they encounter when using our app. This will help us find a more efficient way to increase sales and achieve our objectives with potential users. By analyzing user actions, information architecture, and user flow, we can take actions to ensure that users have a positive experience and build trust in our app and airline.
CURRENT SCENARIO
The tourism industry has been impacted by several events. The first was the Covid-19 pandemic, followed by the current socio-economic conditions globally, and specifically in Argentina, compounded by financial constraints. Numerous flights were canceled or delayed, leading to financial losses and bankruptcies for many airlines and agencies. As a result, travel, whether domestically or internationally, has become more exclusive and costly for certain social groups.
